The Ford Evos Concept: Too Hot to Handle?

Are you the kind of driver who wants your car to stand out? Or, do you like to downplay your car's "sexy" factor and focus on other vehicle features? When Ford showcased its new Ford Evos concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show recently, some experts began to worry that the car might too "hot" for families to handle. The Evos certainly does have a lot of style, as well as some turned-up sex appeal compared to other, more traditional Ford models. And, while the Evos itself isn't likely to go on sale as shown in concept form, Ford has promised to use its design-structure as the new "face" of upcoming Ford vehicles.

There does seem to be a recent trend in the automobile world that ties show cars and production cars more closely together, but Faricy Ford finds it hard to believe that the Evos' four gullwing doors are likely to hit production lines. Some features of the Evos have been confirmed for future models, however. In particular, the inverted trapezoidal grille and arrow headlights, as well as the Evos' futuristic "cloud" technology. We could certainly see some of the Evos design in the 2013 Ford Fusion, which is up for a re-design. The Evos design idea was created in Cologne, Germany, and the car itself was crafted in Italy, with input from the company's global design team.

Although some of the features of the Evos concept seem a bit exaggerated, Faricy Ford can't help but get excited about what the car means for future model designs. With a design unlike any Ford we've ever seen, the Evos leaves us in jaw-dropping admiration. We'll be sure to provide updates about the progression of the Evos as they become available, but if you find yourself in need of a fantastic new Ford in the meantime, we have a great selection to choose from.
