Turbo Charged Ford Fiesta ST Concept Car Debuted

The Frankfurt Motor Show is always a good venue to debut a concept car and Ford did just that with the new "Ford Fiesta ST Concept." Most exciting for those who like power is that the Fiesta ST concept will be turbo charged. Paired with feature upgrades and a sportier design, the Fiesta ST concept was a hit at the show.
The normal Ford Fiesta gets about 120 hp while the new turbo charged concept will get about 180 hp and 177 lb.-ft of torque.
With everyday Ford cars we're not always thinking speed, but the ST concept will get from 0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds and can reach speeds of 135 mph.
Ford didn't just tweak the engine of the Fiesta ST concept, either. The compact hatch received a complete cosmetic overhaul: a taller, blistered hood; a larger, honeycomb grill; hoop style rear wing; side-sills; flared wheel arches; a lowered ride height; and 17-inch aluminum wheels complete the muscular look of the supercharged Fiesta. Ford has yet to release details about the interior, but they've promised a "high contrast"1 color scheme. Maybe to match the eye-catching orange of the concept's exterior? We'll see.
As with any concept car, rumors abound for when it may launch. At this point, best guesses put the launch date somewhere in 2013. Here at Faricy Ford LINCOLN, Inc., we're very curious to see how the Fiesta ST fares against the Focus ST.
While we wait for this new turbo charged concept car to make it to market, come down to Faricy Ford LINCOLN, Inc on 2501 Fremont Drive in Canon City, CO 81212 and browse our current selection of Ford cars and trucks.
