Escape the Ordinary in a Ford Escape ST-Line

Choosing a compact crossover SUV can often be a difficult decision. Most automakers offer one of these sporty versions in their SUV lineups; however, Ford has taken a major step that can propel the Escape to the front of this increasingly crowded vehicle class. If you are looking for a Ford Escape for sale near Florence, CO, you’ll be pleased to hear that the all-new ST-Line is heading to our dealership for the 2023 model year.
At The Faricy Boys Ford, we have been serving drivers in the Cañon City/Florence area since we opened our doors over 80 years ago. During that time, we have earned a reputation for transparency and fair dealing that applies to every new or used vehicle we sell. We are excited about the new 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line models coming soon to drivers like you.
Ford Escape ST-Line
The most affordable of the three ST-Line models of the 2023 Escape is simply called “the Escape ST-Line.” This features many of the standard features for these models of the 2023 Ford Escape; for example, Ford has made its safety suite standard on this model with a set of active driver assist features that will allow you to travel the roads of Colorado in comfort and with confidence. This is all part of the Ford Co-Pilot360 technology platform that has put Ford at the forefront of passenger safety.
Each Escape ST-Line has pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, helping you avoid front-end collisions by alerting you to an imminent crash so you can take evasive action. It also activates the emergency brakes to help bring your Escape to a safe stop or, if a collision is unavoidable, help mitigate any damages. It also has specialized sensors for pedestrian detection; so, if a person steps off the curb in the path of your Escape, you will hear an alarm and be able to use the dynamic brake support to avoid striking the pedestrian.
One of the most common causes of highway collisions is when drivers lose focus and drift out of their lanes. The Escape ST-Line will help you avoid this with the lane-keeping system, which will sound an alert if you drift over a lane marker and then use slight adjustments to the steering to get you back into the straight and narrow. Similarly, BLIS—or the blind spot information system—will let you know if your path is clear to change lanes. This also has a cross-traffic alert that works well with the standard rearview camera; if a vehicle or pedestrian is about to pass behind your Escape, the system will sound an alarm so you can avoid a crash.
The Escape ST-Line is designed for exceptional performance, hence why it comes equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost Turbo I-3 gas engine. Ford has paired this engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which altogether will provide up to 180 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque. This gives the 2023 Escape ST-Line the strength enough to tow up to 2,000 lbs. It is also exceptionally fuel efficient, with front-wheel drive models delivering 30 MPG in combined fuel economy. If you want greater traction, you can opt for available all-wheel drive; this will drop your fuel economy numbers slightly, but they still stand out among crossover models.
Ford also offers a hybrid powertrain option on all three ST-Line models. This 2.5L IVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 Hybrid engine utilizes an eCVT Hybrid transmission to combine the efforts of the gas engine and electric motors. This is a great choice if you would like to get even better fuel economy in your Escape ST-Line, with 42 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.
Ford has decided to equip the 2023 Escape with the latest version of its infotainment interface, the SYNC 4. This comes on an 8-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a 13.2-inch screen available as an option. This is one of the easiest systems to navigate through, so operating it while driving should not be a problem. This infotainment system has a six-speaker AM/FM stereo with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; you can now leave the annoying cables at home and stream your favorite apps and music direct from your smartphone. You can also access an incredible array of programming on SiriusXM with 360L. The SYNC 4 features FordPass Connect with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, and this will help keep you and your passengers connected wherever you go.
Ford’s dedication to comfort and convenience is evident in the standard Autolamp and automatic high beams; these will automatically turn on and off depending on the amount of light in the area in which you are driving. For example, if you enter an area of very low light, the system will activate your high beams; these will then automatically turn off when the lighting improves or when the system detects another motorist on the road, preventing you from accidentally distracting the other driver while allowing you focus on the road ahead.

Escape ST-Line Select
The 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line Select offers a number of additional standard and optional features over the base ST-Line model. For one, it comes standard with all-wheel drive, making driving in Colorado’s notoriously inclement weather safer and easier. It also features a larger standard engine than the ST-Line, a 2.0L EcoBoost Turbo I-4 gas engine. It also comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the addition of automatic stop-start technology to reduce fuel consumption when stopped in traffic. This engine delivers an impressive 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, with the capability of towing up to 3,500 lbs. This is perfect if you plan to use your Escape for recreational activities that require towing a small camper or light boat. In addition, it provides a solid fuel economy of 26 MPG in combined gas mileage.
The ST-Line Select features the same SYNC 4 infotainment system as the ST-Line. However, drivers can choose a premium audio system from Bang & Olufsen—an audiophile’s dream, with ten speakers, including a subwoofer. This is also available as an option on the 2023 Escape ST-Line Elite.
Escape ST-Line Elite
The top model of the impressive and sporty lineup is the Escape ST-Line Elite. This trim provides many of the optional features on the other two models as standard equipment; for example, the ST-Line Elite has standard evasive steering assist to give you a little boost when trying to steer clear of a potential hazard. (This is only available as an option on the other two models.) In addition, the Elite has standard intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology, adjusting your speed if a slower-moving vehicle gets in front of you and then returning to the speed you previously set once the path in front of your Escape ST-Line Elite is clear. It also has lane centering, a form of autonomous driving, as well as speed sign recognition, which will reduce the cruising speed to help you avoid getting a ticket.
The SYNC 4 infotainment system on the ST-Line Elite also features the larger 13.2-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen. It also has a standard connected built-in navigation system with three years of complimentary support. This large touchscreen will make navigating unfamiliar roads in your 2023 Escape ST-Line Elite easier than ever. There is also a 360-degree camera with split-view that enhances your vantage when backing up in your Escape. Finally, this model comes with standard rain-sensing windshield wipers; this will save you the hassle of constantly adjusting your wipers depending on the rate and force of precipitation.
