Everyone with a driver’s license knows of Ford, and many know that the F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in America for 48 consecutive years. People have been flocking to the F-150 in droves for so long because no other truck gives you such a high-quality experience with as many customization options. Today, we’re here to help you get behind the wheel of the Ford F-150 for sale near Pueblo that you’ve been looking for, and we’ve put together an in-depth rundown on what you can expect from the high-value XLT trim this year. Let’s get started!

Four Powertrain Options

The XLT is the first in the 2025 F-150’s arsenal of eight trims to offer a choice between four powertrains. Rear-wheel drive is standard, four-wheel drive is optional, and a 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with all four of the powertrains. A turbocharged 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine is standard with the 2025 F-150 XLT, producing 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. This base turbocharged V6 engine has decent towing and hauling performance, with maximum towing and payload capacities of 8,400 lbs and 1,785 lbs, respectively.

However, towing is best handled by the next two optional engines, not only because of their uptick in horsepower and torque output but also because they unlock the available Tow/Haul Package. The available 5.0L Coyote V8 engine outputs 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, and the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine creates 400 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. The Tow/Haul Package integrates a 3.73 electronic-locking rear-axle with the available 5.0L V8 engine or a 3.55 electronic-locking rear-axle with the turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine and adds an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller. These amenities are helpful, given the performance boost with the optional engines.

Finally, there is the optional 3.5L PowerBoost full-hybrid engine. This combines the same twin-turbo V6 as the 3.5L EcoBoost with electric motors and a battery pack to improve efficiency and performance. At an estimated 23 MPG combined, it is the most efficient F-150 engine option, and it delivers an incredible 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. However, the added weight of the hybrid system means that its towing and payload ratings are slightly lower than the 3.5L EcoBoost and the 5.0L Coyote.

Big Things Come in Big Packages

Equipment Groups

We’ve discussed the Tow/Haul Package available to 2025 F-150 XLT owners who opt for any of the three optional powertrains, but that’s only scratching the surface. Your purchase includes the XLT Base (300A) Equipment Group, meaning you can guarantee amenities like LED fog lamps, 17-inch wheels for rear-wheel drive models or 18-inch wheels for four-wheel drive models, and a few visual flourishes, like chrome bumpers, matte-black door handles, and more. For an additional fee, you can add the wealth of features with the optional XLT Standard (301A) Equipment Group.

The 301A Equipment Group features the aforementioned 18-inch wheels, but for rear-wheel drive models, too. It also adds a 40/20/40 split for all seats instead of only the front seats, replacing the standard 60/40 flip-up split bench in SuperCab models. One of our favorite features the 301A Equipment Group adds is the exterior Zone Lighting, providing the illumination you need for early morning starts or working into the night.

Dual-zone automatic temperature control to keep you and your front-seat passenger comfortable with individualized climate zones is also introduced with the 301A Equipment Group. With the dual-zone automatic temperature control, you can keep your side of the cabin warm while your passenger keeps theirs cool, or vice versa. The 301A Equipment Group’s additions don’t stop there—opting for it also introduces a six-inch step bar, chrome door handles to replace the matte-black ones, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

FX4 Off-Road Package

Customizing your 2025 F-150 XLT means you can select the available FX4 Off-Road Package. This is the perfect option for expanding your F-150’s capabilities into the realm of off-roading, thanks to the addition of several features. These features include an electronic-locking rear axle and skid plates for the front differential, fuel tank, and transfer case. You get monotube rear shocks, an off-road-tuned suspension, and upgraded front shock absorbers with the FX4 Off-Road Package for greater stability while off-roading.

It also introduces Hill Descent Control and Rock Crawl Mode, with the former controlling your truck’s speed by adjusting the brakes as you drive down a steep and potentially uneven hill—your only task is steering. Rock Crawl Mode is added to the already versatile drive modes that come standard with every 2025 F-150, such as Normal, Sport, Eco, Slippery, and Tow/Haul. Rock Crawl gives you the proper handling and acceleration necessary for maneuvering over rocky formations by intelligently delivering torque to all four wheels for more consistent grip between your vehicle and your favorite trails. These off-road additions are perfect for tackling the mountains around Pueblo.

Mobile Office Package

The 2025 F-150 XLT’s available Mobile Office Package is designed for those who work on the go. The Mobile Office Package has everything you need to comfortably and effectively get your work done with no trouble or minor inconveniences you may otherwise face. For example, the fold-out console work surface is large enough to easily fit your laptop, tablet, or clipboard, or use it as a makeshift table to eat your lunch. The Mobile Office Package also introduces bucket seats, designed to be more ergonomic than the traditional bench seat, lending to more comfortable prolonged driving sessions. Bucket seats are great because they’ll always provide you with the same comfortable experience, even when off the clock.

The Mobile Office Package adds a few more features we haven’t mentioned yet. The first is a wireless charging pad for your cellphone, allowing for easy access and a clean interior without wires, which also frees up one of your several USB ports. An extra storage compartment located under the rear seats is included with the Mobile Office Package if you have a SuperCrew cab. Lastly, two 400W outlets are integrated with this package—one located within the cabin and the other built into the bed.

Bed Utility Package

The last available package for the 2025 F-150 XLT that we’d like to focus on today is the Bed Utility Package. The Bed Utility Package is the most cost-effective option out of the four we’ve mentioned, and its impact is more than worth the price of admission. Your F-150 XLT will have an attached tailgate step and integrated tailgate work surface for your laptop, clipboard, tablet, or power tools. Integrated LED box lighting is also a part of this package, along with four integrated tie-down plates. If you hop in and out of your truck’s bed many times each day, you should consider this package because it helps you put less strain on your body.

Let’s Talk Tech

The 2025 Ford F-150 XLT shines bright with some of Ford’s flagship tech. Firstly, the XLT now comes standard with the same magnificent 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment center as the higher trims, with the same access to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the robust Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite. Where the XLT differs from the lower trims is in its available tech. For example, Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist are available starting with the XLT.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist is groundbreaking tech for anyone who knows what reversing with a trailer is like. You’re no longer required to steer and meticulously navigate while reversing with a trailer if you have Pro Trailer Backup Assist because your 2025 F-150 XLT does it for you. Your job is to twist a knob to the left or right, depending on which direction you want your trailer to go, and then you can begin reversing.

Calling Pro Trailer Hitch Assist “revolutionary” is an understatement. Every truck you’ve owned requires you to back up to your trailer while ensuring it’s correctly positioned. Technology like rearview cameras and hitch guidance lines have helped tremendously in trucks over the past several decades. However, everything is about to change because you’ve never experienced anything like Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. Ford has developed an intricate Artificial Intelligence model designed to spot your trailer through the rearview camera and use sensors, its camera, and a complex algorithm allowing you to press a button and take your hands off the wheel and your foot off the pedal because your 2025 F-150 XLT will perfectly align your truck to your trailer like magic.

The XLT Difference

We believe each of the 2025 F-150’s trims are great for many reasons. However, the XLT is different because it’s still an affordable trim, but it’s clear that several luxury features become available once you reach the XLT. The XLT is especially noteworthy to those in Pueblo who prefer ordering a custom truck built from the ground up in the factory because choosing your truck’s performance and various features helps you have a large hand in crafting the perfect workhorse thanks to the available packages and a host of powertrain options. It’s time for you to experience the XLT difference, wouldn’t you agree?
